Lake in the Hills offers a beautiful place to live and work with outdoor recreation areas, lively business centers, and convenient amenities.

Ideally located along the Randall Retail Corridor, the Village is just 7 miles north of I-90. Lake in the Hills also extends into future retail corridors of Route 31 to the east and Route 47 to the west. Lake in the Hills benefits from increasing area demand for retail sites, a skilled workforce, accommodating zoning, good logistics, easy access, and strong traffic volumes.

Lake in the Hills is a prime location for retail and corporate investment. Our market area has strong future growth potential with new development opportunities along Routes 47 and 31. The skilled workforce population continues to support and expand the local manufacturing economy. Along with the residential growth and increasing market potential in the Village, the demand for retail and service businesses continues to outpace supply.

See the most recent demographic information along with links to workforce data through the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation.
