Please note, sewer/sanitation payments cannot be made through the Village of Lake in the Hills. They must be paid to the Lake in the Hills Sanitary District, which is a separate governing entity from the Village. Visit their website to learn more.
Generally, water bills are delivered to the Post Office by the last day of one month to be received by the customers on the first day of the following month. The due date will usually be the 21st of each month unless that date is a weekend or holiday, in which case the due date will be the next business day after the 21st.
Due dates for residential water bill payments are as follows:

Cycle One: This billing cycle includes all residential accounts beginning with 100 through 200. Water bill payments are due by the end of the business day on September 23, 2024.

Cycle Two: This billing cycle includes all residential accounts beginning with 201 through 213. Water bill payments are due by the end of the business day on October 21, 2024.

Cycle Three: This billing cycle includes all residential accounts beginning with 301 through 310. Water bill payments are due by the end of the business day on November 21, 2024.
If you have not received your water bill by the 5th day of the month in which it is due, please call the Water Billing Division at 847-960-7400.
Payment Options
Pay By Mail
Residents may mail their payment to the following address:

If you mail your payment by check, please be sure to include the payment stub from your bill. If you submit your payment online through your bank, please change the mailing address. Mailing your payment to our new PO Box address listed above ensures timely processing of your payment. Verify that your water account number in your online payment system is correct. Payments are credited to your account when they are received.
Direct Pay
The Village's Direct Pay Program is a free service that allows your checking or savings account to be debited automatically for the amount of your water bill on the bill's due date. To sign up for the Direct Pay service, please complete the Direct Pay Authorization Form.
Online Payments
The Village also offers residents the ability to make a one-time payment of their water bill online. You can choose between using a credit card or an electronic transfer from your bank account. A convenience fee will be charged for this service. If you would like to use this feature, click here.
Sewer/sanitation payments cannot be made online through the Village of Lake in the Hills. They must be paid to the Lake in the Hills Sanitary District, which is a separate governing entity from the Village. Please visit their website to learn more.
Collection Sites
Payments may be dropped off utilizing the drop box located in the drive entrance to Village Hall. Residents may also make payments at both First National Bank locations in Lake in the Hills.
e-Billing
Paperless billing is available for your water bill. Easily access your bill right from your email box and receive it the day that it is created without the delay of mail. The online billing e-suite is private and secure. To enroll, click here, and enter the account number from your water bill to create your account.
