The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) regularly releases Community Data Snapshots to help local leaders, community organizations, and others plan and make informed decisions in their communities. Traffic Counts

Thousands of residents and workers pass through the Village of Lake in the Hills every day.  The City of Chicago is located approximately 30 miles to the southeast of the Village and “going-home” traffic is typically in a northwesterly direction. The Village’s commercial center is located at the intersection of Algonquin Road and Randall Road which boasts an annual average daily traffic of more than 40,000 vehicles.
