Safety Camp with LITH PD and ALFPD
Safety Camp 2024 with LITH PD and ALFPD
2024 registration will open between Thanksgiving and Christmas. 2024 program registration openings will be announced on LITH PD's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page.

Open to children ages 8-11. Space is limited, pre-registration is required and there is no charge for participants. Applications will be taken in the order in which they are received. Priority registration will be given for Lake in the Hills and Algonquin residents; non-residents are also welcome.
A schedule of events will be emailed to camper's parents closer to camp with specific information and locations. Be sure you provide a valid email address on the registration form.
Activities
The Lake in the Hills Police Department and Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District have teamed up to lead their summer Safety Camp program with the help of special guest speakers, teen volunteers, and the assistance of Explorer Post #1096. This is a free, interactive **THREE-hour**, five-day camp.
Campers tour the police station, fire station, and other fun locations during the week. Topics include: bicycle and street safety, outdoor and wildlife safety, stranger danger, calling 9-1-1, how to help others in case of an emergency, fire safety, school bus safety, good citizenry, and more!

Dates: June 17 - 21st, 2024
Time: 8:30am - 11:30am
Graduation Day: On Friday, June 21st, 2024 8:30am - We invite you to stay with your camper as we will have activities for parents and campers, followed by graduation.
Registration Requirements
The camp age range is 8-11 years old. Children must be the age of 8 by the camp start date. Pre-registration is required, seats are limited. Registration will close on March 1st 2024 (or as soon as the camp has reached capacity) so do not delay in submitting your registration.
Registrations are taken in the order in which they are received. Priority registration will be given for Lake in the Hills and Algonquin residents. Non-residents are also welcome to join us.
** If you have been wait-listed, please be patient as wait-listed registrations will be released when and if possible. Any waitlisted families will be notified by May via email (communityrelations@lith.org) if they were unable to get into the program this year.**
Be sure to add communityrelations@lith.org to your email contacts as all communications regarding Safety Camp will occur that account after registration.
A valid email address and contact phone number for a parent/guardian is required on the registration form. A member of the Community Relations Division will be contacting you with this information.
CANCELLATION: If, for any reason, you need to cancel your registration, please notify the Community Relations Division by sending an email to communityrelations@lith.org before April 1st, 2024. We will reach out to the next person on our waitlist to fill the opening.
You must register online via the "Register Online" link at CommunityPass. First-time users will need to set-up a household account with CommunityPass. Should you encounter any difficulties with the system, please call the Village of Lake in the Hills Customer Service Representatives at 847-960-7400.
