Gordon Larsen Award The Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award was created to recognize a Lake in the Hills business for their contributions to the community. It can be awarded based on significant growth, employment, customer service or community support, to name a few.

Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award

New this year the Village of Lake in the Hills asked its residents to select the next recipient of the Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award. The residents selected Jersey Mike's Subs located at 285 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Jersey Mike's Subs was presented with the award at the September 13, 2012 Village Board meeting.

Jersey Mikes opened in Lake in the Hills in May of 2010 raising over $2,000 for Jacobs High School and over $500 for Huntley High School. Jersey Mike's is partnering with one charity and/or non-profit organization every month to help raise money by providing "free subs" for each $2.00 donation - 100% of the money collected goes back to that organization. This year alone, Jersey Mike's has raised $17,600! Jersey Mike's is a franchise owned by a local business man who has proven that community comes first.
